“Night Moves” is a heartfelt song by American singer-songwriter Bob Seger. It served as the lead single from his ninth studio album, also titled “Night Moves” (1976). The album “Night Moves” marked a significant milestone for Seger. It was his first studio album to credit The Silver Bullet Band.
It was released by Capitol Records on October 22, 1976, it became a classic and propelled Seger to superstar status. The song captures the essence of adolescent love and the nostalgia of adult memories. Seger drew inspiration from his own teenage love affair in the early 1960s. Recorded at Nimbus Nine Studios in Toronto, Ontario, with producer Jack Richardson.
